Chasing a modest total of 130, SRH were off to a flying start, thanks to Jonny Bairstow. However, wickets did fall but it was a little too late for the home team. With this win, SRH have climbed to the top of the VIVO IPL points table. Chasing a score of 130, SRH once again got off to a strong start as their openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner hammered the hosts with regular boundaries inside the first six overs. Gayle struck four sixes during his 24-ball knock to set up a successful run chase for Punjab who were able to defeat Mumbai Indians by eight wickets.
